Greatings from Los Angeles. This week's show I'm really lucky to have a guest mix from Frederic Soulable who brings a tasty selection of soul, funk and downtempo goodness to your ears. But first up I'm dropping a few new tracks from Ghostpoet & Jame Blake who combined will have two of the top ten albums of 2011 for sure. Then it's some oldies with Koop (sounding fresh right next to James Blake), Henry Mancini, Jamiroquai and Courtney Pine with the classic "I've known rivers." Sit back and enjoy the great selection from Frederic and dig around for his other mixes at the Soulable HQ. Enjoy and in the next couple of weeks I'll drop the second half to Frederic's mix which is more in the uptempo territory.

PJL Intro
Just One - A New Space
Ghostpoet - Survive It
James Blake - Wilhelms Scream
Koop - Tonight
Henry Mancini - Lujon
74 Miles Away ft. Ahu & Mile - Same Dream Again
Jamiroquai - If I like it I do it (Acoustic Version)
Courtney Pine - I've known rivers
Frederic Soulable Guest Mix
Theo Parrish - Somethin

Elan Tamara & Dimitri Grimm - Lungs
Peter Schirmann - Lagerfeuer

Charles Bradley & The Menahan Street Band - The World (Is Going Up In Flames)

Kool & The Gang - Heaven at Once

Locke Saints Band - Love Changes

Willie Hutch - Give Me Some of That Good Old Love

Sly Slick Wicked - Sho Nuff

The Lovin’ Spoonful - Didn’t Want To Have To Do It

Hamilton Bohannon - Save Their Souls

Jazz Chronicles - Thoughts Of You

Architeq - Into The Cosmos

Phantom - Lover Beaucoup Papa ft. Fatima

It's finally here. December 2010 means its time to rewind the past 12 months and dig up all the great music that has made 2010 a bumper year for quality music. Right now I think it's going to be three mixes but I don't know the number of track I have left to spotlight is huge and three may not do it but we shall see hopefully I can edit myself down a bit.

This first section crosses all genres and the one defining aspect for 2010 seems to be the orchestral sound. Check out Janelle Monae, Arcade Fire, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Quantic etc the list goes on. There are going to be a few end of 2009 tracks creeping in here just cause I didn't get to some of these till the beginning of the year and couldn't include in last year's rewind podcasts. Enjoy and look out for the next few weeks as we wrap up the year in good music 2010. Listen right above, head to the MixCloud page, subscribe to the new iTunes podcast here or download it here.
